Amazing Race Team Building Gold Reef City

Our Amazing Race has low physical requirements, and is fit for all ages. The first leg of the race include the Thrill Rides - and nobody are forced to go on rides. Each ride count different points. The second leg of the race requires a whole heap of imagination and creativity – teams have to find and take selfies of abstract sttractions that do not exist.

±09h20 - Ice Breakers and Fun Group Activities

Dividing Teams
The entire group would stand in a circle and everybody would get a number. All the “number 1’s” would be in a team, and all the “number 2’s” in another team, etc. Allow about ten people per team.

Gold Reef City String Bags
Same colour String Bags for each team – Blue, Pink, Orange, Green, Yellow, Black, White, Red, and Purple. We regret, you cannot choose the colours.

±09h30 - Amazing Race Thrill Rides Riddles
Teams have to solve riddles and then go on as many rides as possible, including the Anaconda, Dream Boat, Golden Loop, Jozi Express, Miners Revenge, UFO etc. However, nobody is forced to go on rides - some people may take the pics while the rest can go on the rides.

11h00 - Refreshment Break
Giant Footlongs with Chicken Grillers (halaal), and Bottled Water.

±11h20 - Amazing Race Imagination
This activity is a race against imagination. Teams take "selfies" with various abstract background, i.e. Donald Trump, Traffic Officers, Angelina Jolie, Olympics etc. Teams have to find or improvise these abstract backgrounds that do not exist.

Win a Teddy
Teams compete in winning the biggest prize at the many game stands, i.e. at the Ring Tosser, you get 10 rings for R20 to toss rings on bottle necks to win a massive teddy bear.

Tower of Terror (optional bonus points)
Earn bonus points by going on this heart-stopping 50m drop at a speed a of 100km p/h straight into an open mine shaft. Definitely not for everyone.

Fun Train (optional bonus points)
Easy bonus points by simply taking a ride on the Fun Train. Take a scenic train ride around the Gold Reef City Theme Park. The train departs every 15 minutes.

Giant Wheel (optional bonus points)
Earn bonus points by going on the Giant Wheel and experience magnificent views of Johannesburg.

±13h00 - Buffet Lunch and Desserts at Barney's

Lunch consist of a typical Tsogo Sun Lunch Buffet with of Lamb Curry or a Beef Stew, Fried Hake or other Seafood, Roast Chicken, Rice, Pasta, Sauces, Assorted Veggies, Baby Potatoes, a table with Assorted Cheese & Salads, and a Desert Table with Malva Pudding  and Custard, and Assorted Desserts. This menu is not cast and stone, and may vary from day to day.

One Soft Drink per person

Watch 4D Movie
The entire group go watch the 4D movies, usually a cartoon, with 3D glasses that is amplified with wind, mist and rocking chairs.

±14h00 - Depart at Leisure
Enjoy some more Thrill Rides at leisure. Theme Park closes at 17h00.
